Canadian Association of Nursing Research (CANR) and CNSA Joint Award

About the Award

The Canadian Association of Nursing Research and CNSA Joint Award of $1000.00 is awarded to one student in their second year or higher in a Canadian nursing degree program. Students are invited to submit an Abstract for a paper presentation which will be reviewed by a scientific review committee.  The successful student will present their paper (research or non-research based) at the CNSA National Conference.

Terms of the Award

  • The award is open to nursing students registered in a nursing school with current membership in the Canadian Nursing Students Association.
  • The candidate must be a student in their second year or higher of a nursing program.
  • The candidate must be able to attend and present their paper at the CNSA National Conference in January 2008.
  • The candidate is responsible for all travel costs to the conference. The candidate can apply for financial assistance from CNSA to assist with the travel costs, but is still required to attend the conference regardless of whether any financial assistance is granted or not. Failure to attend the conference would result in loss of the award.
  • The candidate must successfully complete the academic year in which the application is made.
  • Current members of the CNSA Board of Directors are not eligible for the award in their year of office.
  • Cost of accommodations is 99$ for single/double occupancy at the Fairmont Hotel and registration cost is $175. See the CNSA National Conference page for more details.
